Can I buy a gift card now but have it sent to my friend on the day?

Yes, after you choose SEND A GIFT CARD above you can pick the day you want it to be emailed to them (or to yourself if you prefer). The website will automatically email it on the date you choose (or pick today’s date to have it emailed right away).

Can I add a message to send with the gift card?

Yes, when you choose SEND A GIFT CARD above, there’s the option to add a message to the receiver. Your message will be included in the email with their card. Don’t forget to include in your message who your gift card is from!

Is this a physical or digital gift card?

This is a digital gift card. It will be emailed to you or direct to your plant friend. It can be redeemed online by clicking the link in the email.

When will I receive the gift card?

If you pick today as the date you want your gift card sent, you’ll receive it almost immediately, it’s up to you. Choose SEND A GIFT CARD above then enter the email you want it sent to and the date you want it sent on.

Can I add physical items to a gift card order?

Yes, just add the products you want to your cart like normal. Your gift card will be activated and ready to use as soon as you complete your order, and the rest of your planty goodies will be shipped to you as normal.

Can I buy a gift card for a friend overseas?

Maybe, it depends where your friend lives. The products a gift card can be used to buy on lovethatleaf.co.nz can be shipped within New Zealand only. So by all means get a gift card for a friend who lives in NZ, yes.

Can my friend buy plants with their gift card?

Please keep in mind I’m primarily your go-to for plant products to care for your plants, rather than plants. I don’t always have plants available.

Do gift cards expire?

Gift cards are valid for 12 months of planty goodness from the date of purchase. Your green-thumbed buddy does not have to redeem their card all at once. They can use it over multiple purchases as long as there’s still credit left on their card.

Can gift cards be used to pay for shipping?

Yes, gift cards do apply to get free shipping also. The total comes off the entire order, shipping included, provided the gift card has the same or more in credit to match the order total.

Can gift cards be used to buy gift cards?

No, gift cards cannot be used to purchase more gift cards, and the gift card total, or unused balance, cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. Gift cards cannot be returned.

Can gift cards be refunded for cash?

If a product purchased with a gift card qualifies for a refund, and the original order was paid for using a gift card, refunds for returned products are credited back on to the gift card. A gift card itself can’t be returned.

Can gift cards be topped up?

No, once a gift card has been fully redeemed, it cannot be topped up. Please note the one year expiry date.
